Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in daily operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will process prescriptions, manage inventory, and assist customers at the counter with care and accuracy.

The role requires a PTCB/ExCPT certification (excluding Puerto Rico) and at least one year of experience in a retail or hospital setting, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under pharmacist supervision per policy.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and verify accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring drugs; check for interactions.
• Support inventory management and order, unpack, and store pharmaceuticals.
• Handle cash register transactions and assist customers to OTC products when possible.
• Process third-party claims, perform clerical duties, and support workflow.
