Job summary

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where allowed).
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills (counting, weighing medications).
• Basic PC skills (start/shut down, mouse use, programs).
• Knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions and handling medications.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Verify medicines and check for possible interactions.
• Lead/assist with pharmacy department inventory management and ordering.
• Provide customer assistance and guidance at the OTC area.
