Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate patient records. You will help manage inventory, enter data into pharmacy systems, and assist customers with questions and product locations.

The role requires a minimum of one year in a retail or hospital pharmacy, English fluency, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends. Immunization certification may be pursued within 90 days of hire where permitted.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing and clerical duties, under supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately.
• Assist with inventory management and pharmacy workflow improvements.
• Provide customer assistance in locating products and answering questions.
• Handle calls and premium claims processing as part of pharmacy operations.
