Job summary

Walgreens in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist. Under supervision, you will enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and assist with pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient service.

You’ll contribute to inventory management, cash handling, and customer interactions. You may participate in clinical services and help foster relationships with local healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except where prohibited by union/cba).

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications.
• Verify medicine and check for possible drug interactions.
• Assist pharmacists with scheduling and workflow.
• Lead inventory management and store-level housekeeping for the pharmacy.
