Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacist-led dispensing and customer service in a busy retail setting. You will enter patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and help maintain accuracy and compliance.

Under supervision, you’ll assist with inventory, handle cash registers, and coordinate with healthcare providers while upholding the Walgreens Code of Conduct and striving for an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions under supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
• Verify medicine accuracy and check for possible interactions.
• Assist with scheduling and workflow in the pharmacy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Handle cash register and customer transactions.
• Support inventory management and stock control.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and external clinics as needed.
