Job summary

Walgreens Careers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in a fast-paced retail setting. You will enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy and interactions, and help manage workflow and inventory.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico), at least one year of pharmacy tech experience, fluent English, and willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except certain locations).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision of the pharmacist in pharmacy operations.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications.
• Verify medicines and check for possible interactions; assist workflow scheduling.
• Lead inventory management and assist with clerical duties as needed.
