Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to engage customers and patients, greet them, and help with products and services to ensure a positive experience. Under pharmacist supervision, you will enter drug information, fill prescriptions, and verify accuracy while supporting workflow and inventory management.

The role requires PTCB/ExCPT certification, 1 year of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy, fluency in English, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends plus immunization

Qualifications

• Must have PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Operate under pharmacist supervision and follow pharmacy policy and Code of Conduct.
• Enter patient and drug info in pharmacy systems, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy.
• Assist with scheduling, workflow, and pharmacy KPIs with store team.
• Handle cash, operate the register, and guide customers to OTC items.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescriptions; perform clerical duties as needed.
• Support inventory management and supplier coordination; maintain asset protection.
• Assist with clinical services and liaise with healthcare providers and clinics.
