Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy team in a retail setting. Under supervision of the pharmacist, you will assist with prescription processing, patient service, inventory, and cashier duties to maintain a high quality customer experience.

Applicants must have PTCB or ExCPT certification, at least one year of experience, and be fluent in English. The role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and may require immunization certification

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision with dispensing and entering Rx data.
• Process manual and third-party prescription claims in a timely manner.
• Handle cashier duties and register transactions during pharmacy operations.
• Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking and stocking of Rx drugs.
