Job summary

Kroger Knoxville is seeking a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician to support a high-volume pharmacy team. You will assist pharmacists, supervise technicians, and train new hires while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

You will manage scheduling, inventory, immunizations where permitted, and ensure accurate dispensing and customer service that reflects Kroger's standards of safety, ethics, and care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Professional, dependable, positive attitude, good judgment, and ability to lead a high performing pharmacy team.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proven attention to detail and stellar customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills with leaders and peers.
• Completion of state/regional registration, certification or license as required.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Provide stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
• Train and mentor new technician hires.
• Lead scheduling and station rotation for hourly staff.
• Oversee inventory management including orders, returns, and physical inventory prep.
• Administer immunizations where permitted by state law.
• Support store-wide meetings and communicate department standards.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations.
