Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and to support Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Walgreens policies.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, entering patient data, dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, handling cash, and supporting clinical services as needed. Ongoing training and PTCB recertification are encouraged.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist under supervision in entering patient and drug information and in dispensing prescriptions.
• Handles customer interactions and supports pharmacy operations, including inventory and cash handling.
• Maintains training and continuing education credits and pursues immunization certification where required.
