Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision, entering patient and drug information and supporting daily operations in the store pharmacy.

You will fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications, verify accuracy and check for potential interactions while helping maintain inventory and processing claims. Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy under supervision, interact with patients to ensure positive experience.
• Enter patient and drug information using pharmacy systems; prepare and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and check for interactions.
• Handle cash register duties and assist with customer service as needed.
• Support Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in inventory management and KPI reviews.
• Assist in coordinating clinical services and communication with healthcare providers.
