Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists under direct supervision with dispensing, patient data entry and supporting the Pharmacy Department.

Your day includes operating pharmacy systems, coaching technicians, handling cash registers, and contributing to a positive, results-driven customer experience while complying with company policies and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification is required where applicable (excludes Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach technicians and cashiers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Review prescription entries and ensure accuracy; support inventory management and billing activities.
• Maintain adherence to Good Faith Dispensing and Quality Improvement programs.
