Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in daily pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. You will enter patient data, fill prescriptions, verify medications, and manage interactions.

You’ll help with scheduling, training staff, and inventory control to support store performance. The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification, one year of retail/hospital tech experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy per policy.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and fill prescriptions.
• Verify medicine accuracy and manage interactions; assist with workflow.
• Handle cash, assist customers to OTC items, and take non-urgent calls.
• Lead inventory management and support pharmacy financial and KPI reviews.
