Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in dispensing, inventory, and patient care. You will work on maintaining accuracy in prescriptions, entering data into pharmacy systems, and assisting with third party billing.

Great communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential. The role requires a 1-year retail or hospital pharmacy background, PTCB/ExCPT certification (where applicable), and flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing under pharmacist supervision and ensure accuracy of patient information.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and check for interactions.
• Lead inventory management and assist with third party claims processing.
• Support Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in improving financial, service and inventory KPIs.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and health providers to support clinical services.
