Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in a busy retail environment in Alpharetta, GA. Under pharmacist supervision, you will enter patient and drug information, verify prescriptions, assist with dispensing, and help maintain accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications.
• Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
• Assist with pharmacy workflow and inventory management.
• Handle cash register and assist customers as needed.
• Process manual third-party claims and support Pharmacy Manager.
