Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions, entering patient data, and ensuring accuracy and safety across all pharmacy tasks.

You will support inventory management, handle customer questions, and help maintain a courteous, compliant store environment. English fluency and a PTCB/ExCPT certificate are required, with willingness to work evenings and weekends. Immunization certification may be needed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification required (except Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except where prohibited).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with dispensing and entering patient and drug information.
• Fill prescriptions, retrieve/count/pour medications, and check for interactions.
• Support Pharmacy Manager in scheduling and workflow.
• Handle customer inquiries and guide to OTC options when appropriate.
• Assist with third-party claims processing and clerical duties.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management and reporting.
