Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in dispensing and patient services at our West Columbia, SC location. You will support workflow, verify medications, process claims, and help maintain inventory while upholding Walgreens policies.

The role requires English fluency, 1 year of experience, and flexibility for evenings/weekends; willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, retrieving, counting and pouring drugs, and verifying accuracy.
• Support workflow scheduling and Pharmacy Manager guidance, entering patient and drug information.
• Process manual third-party claims and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Lead inventory management activities and protect assets, report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and health providers in clinical services as needed.
• Maintain compliant records and adhere to Good Faith Dispensing and Code of Conduct.
