Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our store team in Casper, WY. You will assist pharmacists with dispensing, entering patient data, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records to ensure safety and quality of care.

The role supports inventory, customer service, and workflow efficiency, while complying with all policies. English fluency, PTCB/ExCPT certification, and a flexible schedule are required; immunization certification may be pursued within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in practice of pharmacy under supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs; verify correctness.
• Assist scheduling and workflow; report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty.
• Lead inventory management activities and support store operations.
• Coordinate with medical community and external providers; support Walgreens clinics and outreach.
• Support pickup program and pharmacy policy compliance.
