Job summary

Walgreens in the United States seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist under pharmacist supervision, entering patient and drug information and supporting dispensing activity. You will help manage inventory, process third-party claims, and assist with customer service at the front of the store.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification, at least one year of retail or hospital experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing under supervision of the pharmacist and enter patient and drug information.
• Lead inventory management, order processing, and stock control of pharmaceuticals.
• Process manual/third-party claims efficiently and accurately.
• Answer non-pharmacist calls and help customers at the store.
• Support Pharmacy Manager and staff with clerical tasks and workflow improvements.
