Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Business Analyst, Experience within the Pharmacy Finance Support team to help manage the pharmacy portfolio budget, validate invoices, and coordinate approvals in a hybrid in-office setting.

You will analyze discrepancies, maintain financial tracking, and support controls and audit readiness while collaborating with Finance, Data Analytics, and external vendors to ensure timely payments and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy benefit claims and pharmacy operations.
• Experience in business analysis, financial operations, payment validation, reconciliation, controls, or audit support.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies, maintain accurate financial tracking, and meet recurring deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a solution-oriented approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day pharmacy funding and administrative invoice operations by validating payments and coordinating approvals.
• Research discrepancies, track funding activity, and maintain process documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Data Analytics, external vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure audit readiness.
• Assist in ensuring timely execution across pharmacy payments activities.
