Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Business Analyst, Pharmacy Finance Support, to help manage the portfolio budget and ensure proper approvals for pharmacy invoices. You will validate payments, research discrepancies, and maintain documentation, collaborating with Finance and external vendors to ensure controls and timely execution.

The role emphasizes hybrid in-office collaboration, with two days per week on-site, and requires strong Excel skills and experience in pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy benefit claims and pharmacy operations.
• Experience in business analysis, financial operations, payment validation, reconciliation, controls, or audit support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Validate payments and coordinate approvals for pharmacy-related invoices.
• Research discrepancies, track funding activity, and maintain accurate process documentation.
• Partner with Finance, Data Analytics, external vendors, and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure financial controls and audit readiness.
