Job summary

Nova Nordisk is seeking a Logistics Specialist for the Boulder site to oversee domestic logistics operations, coordinating shipments of research materials, drug substances and products. You will ensure timely delivery, implement CAPAs, and drive improvements with CMOs and internal teams.

Responsibilities include maintaining shipment documentation, monitoring milestones, and supporting import/export compliance. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or related industry required.
• Teamwork, organization and influencing skills with a strong focus on customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
• Excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for domestic Logistics for CMC Boulder.
• Provide local shipping support for the Boulder site.
• Coordinate shipments and monitor milestones (departure, arrival, customs).
• Prepare data and confirmation of key milestones for shipments (departure, arrival, customs clearance, PODs).
• Support import/export compliance and global trade activities.
• Improve tracking system for shipments.
• Leverage Novo Nordisk HQ processes and contracts where appropriate to improve the shipping process.
• Management of outsourced inventory (Raw Materials, Drug Substance, Drug Product).
• Lead continuous improvement activities at outsourced CMOs.
• Review and execute to discard expired material as needed at warehouses to optimize inventory.
