Job summary

OWL Services LLC is seeking a Petroleum Heavy Technician to lead field installation activities for underground and aboveground storage tanks, fuel piping, and related petroleum equipment. This role requires hands-on field leadership, the ability to read construction plans, coordinate with project teams, and ensure safe, compliant work while traveling as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in petroleum construction, experience with UST/AST installations, and strong knowledge of piping systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in petroleum construction, fuel system installation, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience installing both USTs and ASTs.
• Strong experience installing and working with petroleum piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, civil drawings, site plans, and equipment details.
• Strong understanding of elevations, grades, slopes, and piping elevations.
• Ability to travel regularly and work overnight/out of town as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform the installation of USTs, ASTs, fuel piping, and associated petroleum equipment.
• Supervise and direct field crews during petroleum construction activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and details.
• Coordinate daily construction activities with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades.
• Ensure work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and company standards.
• Train and mentor less-experienced technicians and crew members.
