Job summary

OWL Services seeks an experienced Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to lead field projects on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites. The role requires independent decision-making, strong troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate will manage crews, coordinate with project managers and inspectors, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on petroleum service, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of fuel systems including tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment.
• Proven ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finish.
• Demonstrated field leadership experience (lead technician or foreman).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites.
• Diagnose system issues and develop effective field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material tracking.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps.
