Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Petroleum Construction Lead to oversee installation, replacement, and modification of underground and aboveground storage tanks, fuel piping systems, and related equipment. This is a hands-on field leadership role requiring travel to project sites.

You will read and interpret construction drawings, manage field crews, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and contractors to deliver projects safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of petroleum construction or related field experience.
• Experience installing USTs and ASTs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Strong understanding of elevations, grades and piping elevations.
• Proven leadership of construction crews.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work overnight.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of USTs, ASTs, fuel piping and related petroleum equipment.
• Supervise field crews during petroleum construction activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specs and details.
• Verify elevations, grades, slopes, tank elevations, piping elevations, and site layouts.
• Coordinate daily construction activities with PMs, GCs, subs, inspectors and other trades.
• Ensure work complies with approved plans, specs, manufacturer requirements and company standards.
• Perform excavation, tank setting, piping installation, backfilling and concrete prep.
• Install tank sumps, spill containment, vent piping and dispenser equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and complete daily documentation.
