Job summary

OWL Services is seeking an experienced Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team. This role leads and executes petroleum system maintenance projects that fall outside standard scopes, supervising field work, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in petroleum service, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong working knowledge of fuel systems, including tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform heavy maintenance on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites.
• Repair and replace components including spill bucket, STP, containment sump, drop tubes, and piping.
• Diagnose system issues and develop field solutions with minimal guidance.
• Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews.
• Ensure work complies with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material tracking.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps.
• Uphold jobsite safety standards, including PPE use and hazard recognition.
