Job summary

CR Legal Team LLP in North Carolina is seeking a seasoned Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join a collaborative team dedicated to protecting clients’ interests with a customized, courtroom-focused strategy.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of civil litigation experience, NC/SC bar admissions, and a proven lead attorney background in complex personal injury cases reaching verdict in state and federal court.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and/or South Carolina.
• In good standing with their respective State Bar(s).
• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• 10 cases tried in North Carolina Superior Court (or the equivalent in other jurisdictions) and/or United States District Court.
• Experience as a Lead Attorney in successfully litigating complex personal injury cases to verdict in state and federal court, to include trucking and/or catastrophic injury cases.
• Affiliation with or membership in specific trade groups with a focus on catastrophic injury cases preferable.
• Must be able to exercise extensive independent judgment to make decisions in carrying out assignments.
• Ability to instruct, direct, mentor, and evaluate team members, direct and motivate others, communicate effectively and use judgment, tact, and discretion, quickly assimilate oral and written data, analyze facts, draw logical conclusions, and maintain collaborative client/team member relations.

• Handles and develops strategy for complex Personal Injury cases.
• Ability to work in a team oriented and collaborative environment.
• Connects with clients in a compassionate manner to better understand their story.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Experienced in all case-related settings, including mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings, trials, and client interactions.
• Confidence and poise in the courtroom with the ability to connect with the jury and persuasively present arguments.
• Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
• Examines legal and medical data to determine insurance coverage, liability, damages, and overall strategy.
• Conducts research, guides clients, and handles details in preparation for case-related events.
• Develops settlement brochures, strategies, and arguments in preparation for presentation of case.
• Travel is required.
