Job summary

CR Legal Team is seeking a passionate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join a collaborative team dedicated to advocating for clients in difficult times. The role calls for a leadership mindset, trial experience, and the ability to manage high-stakes cases with comprehensive legal strategy.

You will engage in mediations, depositions, and trials, while mentoring junior staff, connecting with clients, and upholding the firm’s values of care and commitment. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and/or South Carolina.
• In good standing with their State Bar(s).
• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Lead Attorney in complex personal injury cases to verdict, including trucking/catastrophic injuries.
• Affiliation with trade groups focused on catastrophic injury knowledge desirable.
• Exhibits independent judgment and strong client/team relations.

• Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
• Examines legal and medical data to determine insurance coverage, liability, damages, and overall strategy.
• Conducts research, guides clients, and handles details in preparation for case-related events.
• Develops settlement brochures, strategies, and arguments in preparation for presentation of case. Responsible for legal compliance with respect to disbursements and settlement funds.
• Effectively utilizes available technology to successfully perform the duties of the position.
• Must be willing to establish and build relationships with other professionals in the communities we serve to enhance our brand recognition, marketing efforts and client service.
• Travel is required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• JD degree from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and/or South Carolina.
• In good standing with their respective State Bar(s).
• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• 10 cases tried in North Carolina Superior Court (or the equivalent in other jurisdictions) and/or United States District Court.
• Experience as a Lead Attorney in successfully litigating complex personal injury cases to verdict in state and federal court, to include trucking and/or catastrophic injury cases.
• Affiliation with or membership in specific trade groups with a focus on acquiring specialized knowledge and training on catastrophic injury cases (e.g. - Defense Research Institute (DRI), National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, NC Trucking Association, Trucking Industry Defense Association, Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys) preferable.
• Must be able to exercise extensive independent judgment to make decisions in carrying out assignments.
• Ability to instruct, direct, mentor, and evaluate team members, direct and motivate others, communicate effectively and use judgment, tact, and discretion, quickly assimilate oral and written data, analyze facts, draw logical conclusions, and maintain collaborative client/team member relations.

Pay Rate: Depending on experience, guarantee of $200,000 plus robust bonus program.
