Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle is seeking an experienced regulatory code compliance leader to manage the agency’s permitting framework for the capital program, facilities, and transit services across a multi-jurisdictional environment. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive experience in regulatory processes for construction, land use, and environmental regulation.
  • Three years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal codes, permits, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the corridor permitting project management team and coordinate with agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies and permitting processes for capital projects.
  • Manage staff, budgets, schedules, and consultant contracts; ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to advance project objectives.
