Job summary

Wing seeks a Senior Permitting Manager to join our Commercial Real Estate team, remotely based in the Central or Western US. You will lead end-to-end site permitting across jurisdictions, aligning with Wing’s commercial goals while partnering with engineering, design, and external Wing Partners to deliver scalable processes.

You’ll shape regulatory strategy, test assumptions with data, and balance tactical delivery with long-term planning.

Qualifications

8+ years of strategic experience securing construction, land use, and ordinance-based site permits.
Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to link permitting decisions to business impact and financial goals.
Established relationships with municipalities or ability to quickly build them; strong negotiation and cross-functional adoption skills.
Proficiency in interpreting CAD site designs and site plans to inform decisions.
Advanced use of platforms like Monday.com, Smartsheet, or Procore to manage pipelines and reports.
Experience balancing urgent timelines with long-term strategic payoffs.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end permitting initiatives across multiple jurisdictions with clear goals and success metrics.
Shape the regulatory landscape by identifying decision-makers and building compelling business cases.
Architect unified work scopes by collaborating with engineering, design, and external partners to keep projects moving.
Apply analytical thinking to forecast regulatory bottlenecks and implement contingency plans.
Continuously optimize the permitting process and champion change management to speed deployment.
Share expertise, guide peers through challenges, and build scalable systems for future teams.
Travel up to 75% (including occasional international trips) to advance permitting milestones.
