Job summary

SCA Health is actively hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. You will assess patients’ preoperative and postoperative status, interpret monitors, and implement a comprehensive perioperative plan of care to ensure safe recovery after anesthesia.

You’ll collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the perianesthesia continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe disease pathophysiology.
• Apply perioperative scoring and discharge criteria (e.g., Aldrete, PADSS).
• Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia and protect patient from injury.
