Job summary

MaineGeneral Health System in Waterville, ME, is seeking an experienced RN leader to join our Perioperative Services team as Nurse Supervisor. You will guide perioperative staff and help ensure safe, efficient care throughout the surgical experience.

The role requires active Maine RN licensure, perioperative nursing background, and prior leadership, with strong communication and collaboration skills to work with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• Perioperative/surgical services experience required.
• Prior leadership experience, at least as a charge nurse, required.
• Strong clinical judgment and collaboration with physicians and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff in complex patient care scenarios.
• Manages patient flow between units to optimize resources and service levels.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness and coordinates with staff, physicians, and departments.
• Addresses conflicts and makes administrative decisions in the absence of leadership.
