Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville. The Perioperative RN will work part-time days with no call, weekends, or holidays, and may float to the Alfond Center for Health to support other campuses as needed.

Requires Maine RN license and a minimum of 2 years OR experience; strong problem-solving, flexibility, and communication skills are essential for collaboration with patients and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Maintains and troubleshoots surgical equipment and delegates patient care to ancillary staff; may precept students and new hires.
