NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Performance Engineering, to drive performance across the organization. You will translate usage patterns into actionable insights, optimize code, queries, and architecture, and build reusable frameworks and tooling.

You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define standards, measure performance, and deliver data-driven optimizations in a scalable cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with hands-on contributions to production code.
• Strong understanding of system design and architecture and data flows through components.
• Deep experience with relational databases and performance debugging, with PostgreSQL experience a plus.
• Experience debugging distributed systems and container-native environments.
• Experience with asynchronous design and scaling patterns and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficient in scripting for automation and observability (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsabilités

• Performance Research and Development: Identify bottlenecks and drive optimizations across code, database, and architecture.
• Performance Frameworks and Tooling: Build and maintain performance testing frameworks and CI/CD automation.
• Performance Best Practices: Define and evolve standards for optimization, scalability, and measurement.
• Documentation: Create architectural decision records and performance documentation.
• Other duties as needed.
