Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to own an enterprise-wide performance function across web, mobile, kiosk, POS, loyalty, and payments ecosystems. You will design and execute load, stress, and endurance tests using JMeter, k6, or similar tools, integrating AI-assisted workflows for planning and triage.

You will partner with SRE and DevOps to set reliability targets, embed automated validation into Azure DevOps pipelines, and drive AI-assisted avoidance of bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship not provided.
• 4+ years of enterprise-scale performance engineering or non-functional testing.
• Hands-on with performance tools: JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, OctoPerf.
• Experience with observability and cloud monitoring (Dynatrace).
• CI/CD integration experience (Azure DevOps).
• Scripting in Java, JavaScript, or Python; cloud (_AWS or Azure_).
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and AI guardrails.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder leadership; upper-intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise Performance Engineering charter as a horizontal shared service.
• Design, script, execute, and report performance tests across high-volume flows.
• Identify bottlenecks across app, DB, messaging, and infrastructure layers.
• Embed automated performance validation into CI/CD pipelines with gating.
• Collaborate with SRE/DevOps on chaos-engineering experiments and reliability targets.
• Define performance-readiness criteria and provide evidence-based release go/no-go.
