Charles Schwab Corporation in Southlake, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Performance Engineer to ensure the scalability, resiliency, and reliability of Schwab s technology platforms. You will define performance strategies, collaborate across multiple teams, and leverage automation, observability, and resilience engineering to address bottlenecks and support release readiness.

Competenze

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of technology experience with 7+ years in performance engineering, reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
Proven experience leading performance engineering across multiple enterprise programs, releases, or initiatives.
5+ years of experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, NeoLoad, WebLOAD, or similar).
3+ years of experience integrating automated performance validation into CI/CD environments.
Experience designing performance strategies, workload models, scalability assessments, and non-functional testing approaches.
Experience with resiliency testing, chaos engineering, failover validation, or fault-injection practices.
Strong knowledge of observability/monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
Proficiency in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, Groovy, Shell).
Experience in Agile/DevOps or product-based delivery environments.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and executive reporting skills.
