Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement is seeking a Senior Associate in M&A and Performance Improvement within the Professional Services sector. The role supports private equity and corporate clients through complex transactions and transformations across the full deal lifecycle.

You will work with experienced operators and transaction advisors, lead workstreams, develop actionable insights, and deliver executive-ready recommendations in integration, carve-out, and performance

Qualifications

• MBA preferred
• 4-6+ years in management consulting, investment banking, private equity or corporate development
• Experience in integration/separation planning and execution a plus
• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying key client issues, overseeing workstreams, and delivering key client deliverables across engagements
• Leverage advanced financial modeling and expert Excel skills to produce actionable insights
• Lead client interactions, facilitate sessions, present findings to senior stakeholders, and produce executive-ready deliverables
• Own and maintain key deliverables including synergy and performance models, separation and cost models, and integration/carve-out trackers
• Provide informal leadership by coordinating across workstreams and coaching junior staff
