Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate for the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice in the Professional Services sector. The role focuses on M&A and performance improvement across buy-side and sell-side engagements, requiring deep financial modeling, data analysis, and executive-level communication.

Expect significant travel and exposure to high-profile transactions within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development with a demonstrated track record of M&A.
• MBA preferred
• Willing to travel at least 75% of the time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent client-facing and communications skills

Responsibilities

• Identify key client issues, oversee workstreams and own deliverables across engagements.
• Lead client interactions, facilitate sessions, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Develop synergy and performance improvement models and track outcomes.
• Coordinate across workstreams, coach team members and ensure quality throughout the engagement.
• Support integration, carve-out, and value-creation efforts within PE/Professional Services deals.
