Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate in M&A and Performance Improvement within the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. The role supports private equity and corporate clients through complex transactions and value-creation initiatives across the deal lifecycle.

You'll apply advanced financial modeling, due diligence, and analysis to develop actionable recommendations, with opportunities for leadership and significant client interaction.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development with a demonstrated track record of M&A exposure.
• Experience in integration / separation planning and execution is a plus.
• MBA preferred.
• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify key client issues, oversee workstreams, and deliver client outputs.
• Lead client interactions, present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Develop and validate synergy and performance improvement models.
• Coordinate across workstreams and coach team members.
• Maintain executive-ready deliverables throughout the engagement.
