Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior People Partner based in the United States.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to leaders across Product & Technology, Marketing, and Finance, aligning people strategies with business objectives. You will help build high-performing teams by guiding organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management initiatives. Through strong relationships and thoughtful coaching, you will empower managers to navigate complex employee situations and make fair, effective people decisions. You will lead key HR cycles, including performance management, compensation, employee engagement, recognition, and succession planning. Working in a remote and distributed environment, you will use people analytics, technology, and AI-powered tools to improve decision-making and streamline processes. This position offers the opportunity to influence cross-functional initiatives, strengthen organizational culture, and drive meaningful improvements in the employee experience. You will thrive in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that values accountability, inclusion, transparency, continuous learning, and measurable business impact.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with leaders across Product & Technology, Marketing, and Finance to translate business objectives into actionable people strategies and workforce plans.
  • Advise on organizational design, headcount planning, team structures, succession planning, and change management to support evolving business priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders, managers, and employees, providing candid, practical, and solutions-oriented guidance on people-related matters.
  • Anticipate organizational challenges, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and present clear recommendations that balance employee well-being with business needs.
  • Coach managers and employees through complex situations, including role changes, behavioral concerns, interpersonal conflict, and team dynamics, while maintaining trust and professionalism.
  • Lead core people management cycles, including performance reviews, talent calibration, compensation planning, employee engagement, and recognition programs, ensuring clear timelines and consistent execution.
  • Support managers in establishing clear expectations, delivering constructive feedback, addressing performance concerns fairly, and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Identify high-potential employees, support talent development initiatives, and help build succession plans for critical roles.
  • Use people metrics and workforce analytics to identify trends, assess organizational health, and inform leadership decisions.
  • Represent the needs and perspectives of supported business functions in People team discussions and company-wide initiatives.
  • Translate broader HR programs and policies into practical guidance that managers and employees can easily understand and apply.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to simplify workflows, improve systems, and automate repetitive tasks where appropriate.
  • Leverage HR technology and AI-assisted tools to increase efficiency, improve communication, and make people-related information more accessible.
  • Champion organizational values by promoting inclusion, recognition, transparency, collaboration, and accountability across supported teams.
  • Manage multiple priorities, systems, and deadlines independently in a distributed work environment, adapting responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, People Partner, or HR Business Partner roles.
  • Experience supporting technical teams, such as Product, Engineering, or IT, is strongly preferred; exposure to Marketing and/or Finance functions is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in technology or SaaS environments is preferred, while experience in educational technology is a plus.
  • Experience working with fully remote or geographically distributed teams, with the ability to operate independently and collaborate effectively across asynchronous workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels without relying on formal authority.
  • A proven track record of advancing cross-functional initiatives, particularly in situations where ownership is shared or responsibilities are not clearly defined.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Excellent coaching, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and provide clear, practical recommendations.
  • An operational mindset, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes, systems, timelines, and competing priorities.
  • A growth-oriented attitude, openness to feedback, and willingness to experiment with new approaches and continuously improve working methods.
  • A proactive and accountable approach, with the ability to identify gaps, anticipate challenges, and take initiative without waiting for explicit direction.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems and people management platforms, ideally including Rippling, Lattice, Awardco, or comparable tools.
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools and people analytics to support informed decisions, improve efficiency, and enhance employee and manager experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex people-related topics clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work remotely from within the United States without requiring employment sponsorship.
