Job summary

Fivetran is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to support the People organization. You will turn complex people data into insightful metrics and scalable analytics across recruitment, development, and retention. The role partners with Engineering, Recruiting, and Finance to drive data-informed decisions.

Based in Oakland or NYC, this full‑time, hybrid position blends remote work with in‑person collaboration. You’ll help build dashboards, canonical datasets, and self‑service tools for People leaders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, BI, or related role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling on large datasets.
• Experience using Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar BI tools.
• Strong ability to translate business questions into analyses and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Define and own core People metrics across headcount, hiring, retention, and experience.
• Build scalable analytical products, datasets, models, and dashboards for quick, consistent insights.
• Translate analyses into clear narratives for operators and senior leadership; collaborate with Engineers to improve HRIS/ATS connectors.
• Set high standards for data quality, governance, privacy, and responsible use of employee data.
• Turn complex datasets into decisions by identifying trends and actionable recommendations.
• Mentor analysts and establish analytical best practices to improve data fluency across teams.
