Job summary

Fivetran is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to empower the People organization with data-driven insights across the employee lifecycle. You will partner with People, Recruiting, Finance, and other teams to deliver robust analyses and scalable dashboards that support hiring, retention, learning, and performance decisions.

You will shape reporting standards, mentor analysts, and contribute to a data-driven culture while balancing privacy and governance considerations in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, BI, or related analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling across large, complex datasets.
• Experience using Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar BI tools.
• Strong ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and data quality; able to ensure reproducible analyses.

Responsibilities

• Define and own core People metrics across headcount, hiring, retention, and employee experience.
• Build scalable analytical products including datasets, models, and dashboards for self-service insights.
• Translate analyses into clear narratives for operators and senior leadership; collaborate with Engineers to improve HRIS/ATS connectors.
• Establish practices around data quality, governance, privacy, access, and responsible data use.
