Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Finance or Business or equivalent.
• Defined Benefit knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Play an integral role servicing existing and new clients in defined benefit retirement plan administration, including a full range of administrative and operational support services to a variety of defined benefit clients and plan participants in a fast paced and time critical environment.
• Process various types of calculations and disbursement set ups, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
• Review and triage all participant requests to determine correct resolution and routing. Manage and monitor workflows.
• Interpret plan rules to ensure correct calculations and disbursements. Build calculation tools.
• Analyze and process transactions to ensure proper quality standards for calculations, disbursements and data updates.
• Contact participants to explain calculations or resolve participant/client related issues. This could be by phone or letters and forms.
• Support external client and internal audit requests by providing requested documentation, conducting research and answering questions as a client and plan expert.
• Manually calculate and review pension benefits for plan participants.
• Support the monthly testing of various systems upgrades and releases.
• Participate in special departmental projects.
