Job summary

NorthStar Steel is seeking a Steel Operations General Superintendent – Lead PEMB Operations to oversee field operations on large commercial and industrial PEMB projects in the Oklahoma area. You will have direct access to executive leadership and the autonomy to build high-performing field teams, driving safety, quality, and profitability.

Responsibilities include directing all field operations, optimizing labor scheduling, establishing standard PEMB erection procedures, coordinating crane

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in structural steel or PEMB erection.
• Experience leading steel erection crews across multiple sites.
• Deep knowledge of PEMB erection procedures, structural framing, sequencing, and constructability.
• Ability to analyze erection drawings, structural blue prints, specifications, and project schedules.
• Experience coordinating cranes, heavy rigging operations, and field equipment logistics.
• Valid OSHA 30 or ability to obtain; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct field operations and ensure safety, schedule, and quality goals.
• Optimize field productivity and labor scheduling across sites.
• Establish standard PEMB erection procedures for field execution.
• Coordinate crane logistics and heavy equipment utilization.
• Mentor field superintendents to enhance leadership and proficiency.
• Monitor labor budgets and protect margins.
