Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Construction Supervisor specializing in steel erection and PEMB systems to lead multi-crew field operations on large-scale projects. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity by coordinating kickoff meetings, crane operations, and daily crew expectations, while mentoring staff and ensuring documentation and compliance.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, blueprint literacy, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in steel erection or metal building construction
• Proven experience erecting pre-engineered metal buildings
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work
• Experience working with cranes and signaling hoisting operations
• Comfortable working at heights 50–100+ feet
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced, multi-crew environments
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
• OSHA 10 (required or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Lead daily jobsite kickoffs covering scope, sequencing, safety, and schedule
• Coordinate crew start times, locations, and daily expectations
• Ensure crews have proper tools, materials, and training to perform safely and efficiently
• Supervise erection of PEMB systems, including structural steel, insulation, and exterior steel
• Maintain high-quality standards while prioritizing jobsite safety
• Manage equipment, machinery, and crane coordination
• Approve timecards and track labor productivity
• Complete required documentation including timesheets, work orders, and incident reports
• Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
• Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed
• Communicate job completion status for invoicing and operations coordination
