Job summary

PreventEd's The Collective is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist II – Supervisor to lead, coach, and support peers, using lived experience to guide a recovery-focused team.

You will mentor staff, manage a small caseload, develop onboarding for new specialists, build community referrals, and ensure quality documentation while partnering with program leadership. This role requires CPS certification, strong communication, and leadership to empower others through peer support.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board.
• At least one year in recovery.
• Experience in public speaking, training, or community outreach preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience or readiness to step into leadership.
• Participates in coalition work such as NPRA-Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor other PreventEd Peer Support Specialists.
• Maintain an active caseload of 3-8 clients.
• Coordinate referrals to PSS Services and make warm handoffs.
• Establish community relationships for referrals and resources.
• Provide training for community members on peer services and resources.
• Act as the PreventEd liaison for Peer Services across partner agencies.
• Document all aspects of the job in compliance with agency, contractual, and funding requirements.
• Perform all other related work as assigned.
