Job summary

Park Center in Nashville, TN seeks a Peer Recovery Support Coordinator II to provide advanced recovery support within a Permanent Supportive Housing program, using Housing First and Sober Living options as part of an intensive case management team.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed engagement, strengths-based tenancy support, and collaboration with community partners, while ensuring required documentation and program outcomes are met.

Qualifications

• Must identify as a person in recovery from mental illness, addiction, or both.
• Must be certified by Tennessee as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or be willing to obtain that credential within 90 days of hire.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a peer recovery support role.
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in a human services field.
• Able to demonstrate strong peer support competencies and ethical behaviors.
• Must have proven written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field preferred; experience in a peer support role may be substituted for college degree.
• Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Must have a able to show proof of personal automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Value cultural competence and diversity and collaborate with staff, members, and community to gain diverse perspectives.
• Engage residents with a trauma-informed approach to build trust and rapport.
• Provide recovery-oriented tenancy support using strengths-based, person-centered methods.
• Support PSH members in whole health recovery, addressing mind and body wellness.
• Assist PSH members in developing interpersonal skills, community engagement, and sustainable supports.
• Create, maintain, and review documentation for agency and funding requirements by deadlines.
• Communicate with internal and external partners by telephone, email, and chat and develop relationships with human services organizations.
• Attend staff and supervision meetings; assist with program events and outings; participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain attendance and complete Relias Learning courses by deadline; follow Park Center policies and ethics.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
