Job summary

Actalent in the United States is seeking a Distribution Engineer (PE) to design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV, and to develop distribution work packages for new customer construction projects.

This permanent, fully remote position requires a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET), and extensive experience with urban and rural distribution, URD, re-conductoring, and asset replacement. Travel up to 30% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience with electric utility distribution design projects.
• Eight or more years of experience in overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit distribution design work package development.
• Eight or more years of experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects in urban and rural environments.
• PE License is required.
• ABET Accredited Electrical Engineering degree(s).

Responsibilities

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects and underground work packages.
• Lead field and office teams, coordinate budgets, scoping documents and project deliverables.
• Provide engineering support during construction and attend coordination meetings.
• Review completed designs to ensure client quality and standards compliance.
• Travel up to 30% to client sites as required.
