Job summary

Actalent is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Distribution Engineer to design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV. You will lead design teams, develop URD projects, and ensure compliance with client standards throughout urban and rural environments.

Requires a PE license, ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and 6+ years in utility distribution design. Master’s degree counts towards experience; up to 30% travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of experience in electric utility distribution design projects.
• PE License is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited).
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited) will count towards years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit work packages.
• Design complex projects in urban and rural environments in compliance with client specs and codes.
• Lead field and office personnel in field testing and coordinate project budgets and deliverables.
• Provide engineering assistance during construction and participate in meetings with clients.
