Job summary
Insight Global is seeking a Distribution Engineer with an active PE license to provide technical leadership and QC oversight for electric utility distribution projects. A remote work option is available, and candidates with 3–5 years of distribution engineering experience in utility, contractor, or consulting environments are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include leading QA/QC reviews of designs, plans, and BOMs; performing complex design reviews for overhead and underground systems; and
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of distribution engineering experience in a utility, contractor, or consulting environment.
- Experience in overhead and underground distribution design packages.
- Active PE license and ability to provide technical leadership and QC oversight.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Quality Control lead/reviewer for electric utility distribution deliverables.
- Verify completeness, constructability, and compliance with client standards and codes in QA/QC workflows.
- Perform independent technical reviews of distribution designs including overhead and underground systems, line upgrades, reconductoring, and switchgear.
- Coordinate with project managers to align QC milestones with schedules and document QC comments and corrective actions.
- Provide mentorship to engineers and drafters and support design quality improvements.
